Sometimes you have to cut your losses and move on .. its only a wreck and had no lights, blew smoke like it was on fire, needed 20 liters of water every 10k and bits kept falling off .. the first 160k odd was the impossible bit and it got that done .. it earnt a rest for the remaining odd 80k - now its parts for us "Terrier" lovers :)

Well, the Rally Truck Replica plan is back on the table!, with the blessing of SWMBO. She wasn't confident about driving the F100, so that is on the market now, and plans for the Tezza have been resurrected.

Been working on some ideas for sleeping quarters on the back to save on accommodation costs on club runs.

Go for it ! it will be even better than the ubiquitous P76 station wagon & at least you will have a factory 5 speed

Love it - I will make a "camper" box for mine in the next few years so I can tour around Australia in it. I am looking at lowering my tray about 5 inches to reduce the height off the ground as I will use mine mostly to transport cars around and they will need to be loaded with big ramps ..

Although - I will have to move the braking system lower and make a few alterations to drop that extra 5 inches.

Saw the only surviving factory P76 wagon the other month .. rare and exclusive - but a Terrier is so much better with the 5 speed , twin plate clutch and "special" carbie ..

Good to hear of your replica truck project Eddie, and that we will see it at club events again.

It's always a plus to have a variety of vehicles at events, and a Leyland Terrier is not all that common, so go for it.

Back in '77 a bunch of local lads went to Quorn to watch the rally vehicles arrive for an over night stop-over, repairs and rest break. We were able to get quite close to them and watch the panel and chassis bashing trying to get some of them a bit straighter after a mishap along the road.

Hope to see you at Wallaroo. Cheers

Got sick of the daggy look, so I dug up a tin of "rust guard" paint from the shed , masked off, and splashed it on.
Even though it's the daggiest paint job I have ever committed, it actually looks almost presentable now ...

8-)... from a distance ;) ;D

and .. photobucket don't like me tonight ... again ...
tomorrow then :P

Put a new relugator in the alternator ... and I STILL got a red light ... although it does flicker a bit. >:(

Any ideas? :(

Bosch or Lucas alternator? One off a Holden fit? Most of the Bosch or Lucas interchange with other local cars/trucks. Sometimes just a bracket to change.
They used to be under $100 new (Ingrams) (I'll admit that was a while ago)

ASW.
