How to restore a Truck

More

Ive got a pile of unrestored trucks in sheds and some restored ones and you know where my buddies enjoy sitting on a milk crate with a box of fizzy's... down the back shed with the old ones....I like having a restored truck but a shiny new one just doesnt have the visual history like the ones in waiting.
Good on yer detective...fizzy for you at my place anytime your going past ;).

Wow, I'm away for a night or so and look how much interest this has generated.
My 2 bobs, it's a hobby, there are no rules. An awfull lot of old truck clubs hold shows and deliberatly don't have prizes. That, to me , is not what it's about (I put the "to me" in there because it's different to a lot of different people). I've got opinions on what I like, but that doesn't mean a thing, if you own it, it's yours to do what you like with.
It's a high horse to be sitting on to be judging other people's efforts, like them or not.

g'day ivor and all because in australia we have had an amalgam of british, japanese, european and american trucks all competing for a long time now that it seems the chaff gets sorted from the wheat and the outcome is that the american trucks are ''revered'' by all and sundry.

that's what gives these big american trucks their hallowed status (at least in australia) and the fact that these trucks were incredibly expensive when new, as compared to other brands.

that gives these trucks hero ''worship'' and hero status....a term that, by the way, has only come along recently.

cheers
