Hi BK, that last lot of photo's brings tears to me eyes with all that mud, oh boy, nothing but bad memories of being stuck in $hite like that.

The good old "Blue Heeler" pub, just as I remember it, no air-con then, open the doors and windows for cooling, best tasting beer in Aust, after all that dirt just to get to it.

regards greenie [smiley=vrolijk_1.gif]

ps- keep 'em coming, that lot is pure gold, it's brilliant.

The first 2 Brambels pics of the long cylinder thingo - does it say what that was and where it was going?

I'm probably wrong - but it may be an auto clarve that came to Townsville!!!

Oldfuula, it was called a C-3 splitter, manufactured in Japan by Hitachi, it came by ship to Port Botany and was moved to ICI Botany, according to my father who was operations manager at Brambles Heavy Haulage in Sydney at the time.

It was a good old pub when Barry had it in those days Greenie.
You could pick the tourists, they'd sit under the fan and drink their beer, then complain that it was flat!!

No Oldfulla, it went to ICI at Botany.
