This morning i'm traveling up Dudley st Melb i see a trailer being towed by isuzu but mould into the tray section is a fork lift and you sit on the tray and operated the fork.
The front wheels of the truck become the rear turning wheels of the fork and the dauls are the front of the fork so i suppose he drops the trailer and unloads with the truckfork.
Truck did come from Tassie . Dave

The old rules used to say that, now possibly they are evaluating some thing new, that has been around for decades in Europe.
With this combination then the dog quite possibly could be heavier than the truck, but, they have been using this type of combination successfully for many, many decades in Europe. Can't remember the sizes/lengths they were allowed on the trailers, or the weights, but if you do some checking, you'll soon come across these set-ups.
A lot of the OLD towns and cities in Europe have very narrow streets, so the driver ditches the trailer and just uses the truck in those areas. Out in the newer places, then the trailer is available as well.
Always thought that Australia was way behind the eight ball with a lot of the regulations for transport, OK, a few good ones from the states have appeared, but a lot from Europe have been forgotten.
Swishy, if you start checking, you may find that the combo MIGHT be getting evaluated by Vic Roads, just like they did for the B-doubles.
