Hi all, I found some early photos of the Presland 1966 Peterbilt in my collection
Model is 351-ST and S/N 20036
Now powered by a 892 and 15 OD RR
A few mods from original to that as displayed at the HVCCVC Muster
Still working

Regards
Sunshine

...very nice pics sunshine....Ian Presland will be proud to see his old trucks recognised on this forum....

...does anyone know what may have become of the Peterbilt 6X6 that had worked out on Fraser Island, that had received a home made style of cab??...

...last i heard it was in or around Gatton....8V71, hand made (home made?) cab, sand dune style big tyres, and a fairly low, long tipping body and very big diffs...

...any clues anyone??

....Hi LN 700 and all .. what a great pair of pics LN 8-) 8-).....

.....at this time of her very hard working life around 1972, this Peterbilt was owned by K&L Press of Kempsey NSW and beyond their use, went through a couple of owners before migrating to Victoria in about 1982....

...what is REALLY nice to know is that this is the very first Peterbilt that was imported by Laurie O'Neil's firm Peterbilt Australia in 1963.... (ch/no 15834 with Mainline Transport unit number 301).... and thankfully it's still a wonderful old thing surviving in 2013 with her original 250 Cummins engine, 4X4 Spicer, and SQHD 5.29's on Hendrickson rubber block suspension.....

clarkie I have a feeling that this Peterbilt is parked in a shed very close to certain poster's place of residence.
