Oldfella - I would reserve judgement on how baby quin got it's name, for now at least. It is possible the the 'five versions' was sales spin on an already existing name.

Interesting that McGrath had a different business name for each state.

Yes I would agree with mammoth Ive got no idea how it got it's name didn't even no there was such a brandname model what have you just new it as a way of describing a type of farm trailer most of which aren't factory original

I wonder if this is a baby quinn as well I mean the one with the rabbit on it. And if Mcgrath and Freighter are the same company back then it might explaine the road train picture looks a like it's a bit like the one's Johansan had built by Mcgrath once again Im no expert just throwing the thought about

I wonder if the Freighter / Mcgrath trailers relationship was only for those trailers that they both built under licence from someone else or by McGrath for Freighter.

I guess we will have to wait for H/A to enlighten us with a book.
