Be even funnier filled with troopy's and somebody dropped his guts.
At least with the canvas top on the Mk4's, the breeze got rid of it.

Viewing them old army ACCOs reminds me
Did they ever get to use the rope spools on the end of each axle

th@ they strung a HD wire ropes across a creek etc to get the ACCO'z to spool there way across the creek via the wire rope

ROPE SPOOLS, be buggered, I always thought they were added so the troopy's could get on faster/quicker, fancy that, for all them years, I never knew what them thingy's were actually meant for.

Never see one of those Baz, can you send me a copy of it. Do you know any background re the photo ?
The wheel step rings were not intended for winching, the Army Inters had a pretty good built in 9 ton winch, but they were used as sling points when liftuing them on board ship etc.
