You can't always trust the signs on bridges. A few years ago I worked for tourist coach operator in Sydney. We had a number of those high level coaches with the a/c condensor on the roof. The official height was (from memory) 4.00 metres.
One day I got a radio call from one of our droll humoured drivers that he "was having problems with the air conditioner". As to what was the problem? - it is sitting on the ground about 50 metres behind the bus !!.
A 4.1 m bridge had taken it off. Turned out the road had recently been resurfaced and nobody had bothered to recheck the clearance. :-[ :-[

Yep, signs and a camera to warn you. It's a pity that the roads have never been updated to suit modern times. :blink:
I'd rather have tools that I don't need, than not have the tools I do need.
