I want to fit Alcoa style alloy wheels to my Bedford A truck.

Has anyone done this. Where did you get your wheels.

Cheers
Cam

Some more info could help, PCB (distance between stud centres) bore size, rim size rim wiidth. You may well find some wheels off something else that will do the job, if you can match the above, but must start with PCB
Oh and hub centred or nut centred ?
Will be a mine field, you will have to procure nuts as well, and probably have to fit longer studs, did this on VP and it was a very expensive exercise.

That'd be PCD (pitch circle diameter). PCB is that nasty chemical found in old capacitors and transformer oil :)

Hello Cam
At a guess it will be 8 studs with a PCD very close to 275 mm.
If this is the dimension then wheels will be available, that is the easy part.
Your current wheels are stud mounted.
The replacement wheel will be spigot mounted.
The Alloy wheels are about 20 mm thick, steel wheels 10 mm thick.
To fit Alloys you will most likely need the following .............
Replacement wheel studs
Some means of supplying a spigot for the wheel.
The good news is it can be done just a matter of $$$$$$$$

Yes, They are 8 stud. The PCD is 275 mm and the studs seem to be 20 mm dia.

I can find wheels with the right PCD but the stud holes are larger, like 26 mm.

So I'm not sure where that leaves me.

can you buy some un drilled rims and do the holes how you want them or maybe weld the holes up and machine them back to the right shape

Thanks all for the input.

I was kind of hoping there was something off the shelf that went straight on. That is looking unlikely.

Beyond that I am sure there are regulations about how you go about modifying wheels or hubs.

I'm going to contact www.easternwheelworks.com.au/ and see what they say. Thanks

If you are only looking for a bit of shiny...?

Perhaps Chrome the steel wheels... It will be a cheaper and easier exercise ;
