Foing a Victa Model 4 known as an Automatic from nrw but when they went back to the dealers for repairs they were told to remove all the auto stuff as they were not good to use. So this one has a few of tge basic auto stuff but no front n rear flaps or side stone guards.

Where do you find all your projects.

I wish I had the time. Too busy just trying to keep up with Helen's demands.

Good on you.

Although I dont have the Victa mower market cornered, I do have a lot of them and now is the time to start doing something with them. Some will get tarted up like this, others will be nmade to run and get the lindseed oil n turps over them and others made run and sell. Any parts left over will go up for grabs to those who need them.
I do have another Buzacott 2hp engine under the house which came as a pair with that 3hp which were donated just to get them out of the garage they were in. Not sure what to do with it as yet as its seized and missing some parts which can be sourced. Time will tell.
As for this mower Im into the engine now and its in fairly good nick. Had to sort out the ignition as both coil and condensor were stuffed. Dug around in the parts bin and got that sorted so will have spark when it goes back together.

I can well remember we got one of the first Victa mowers in our street.

I can still picture now my non-mechanical Dad trying to adjust that tin clip-on outer ring with the motor going and pulling his hand out sprayng blood. Four finger tips on his right hand were neatly sliced open - bloody lucky not to have lost them!

Hello Cobba,
I enjoy the content that you put on the forum,
I see you might be selling some Victa parts.
If you have any Safety rim guard bolts for sale,
i am interested in purchasing some.

this is my Covid time project.

Thanks,
LN700

I do have 3 of the original bolts that came out of this base but the heads are average but if you want them you can have them. What I used was 4 spare 1/4" BSW head bolts which are the same size, length and shaft size. If you nead some of them Im sure I could drag some out for you if you want. Let me know.

Below is a pic of Eric our Model 2

Eric looks to be what dad bought to keep the grass down around the farm house. 49 Quid about 1957. Got a few farmers toes when cutting wearing gumboots. Toe cutters.
Did a mighty job.
