Road Boss / Road Commander Grill

Road Boss / Road Commander Grill was created by RC1
I know that Road Boss/Road Commander grills are getting a bit old now so finding a good one is a challenge.
I'm just throwing this out there in case anyone knows of a good one.
I am close to finishing the restoration of a 1978 Road Commander and my current grill has some of the chrome flaking off it.
I'm also happy to trade my old grill in for good one (along with some cash) if anyone has one on a yard truck that they don't mind having a bit of chrome flaking off.
Note that Road Boss and Road Commander grills are the same.
Thanks,
Andrew

Mate, I would say that Your complete Grill with a bit of Chrome flaking off it. will be better than the vast majority of grills still about..
I ended up putting a Western Star grill in my Old Road Boss.
A good Complete Boss/Commander Grill is as common as..

I tend to agree.
Probably being a bit too optimistic but worth a shot.
Wasn't such a big issue until the rest of it is painted and shiny!

Thanks Paul.
I've been lurking here for about a year - back when the restoration started.
I can't wait to share some pictures when it is done.

We like any kind of restoration pictures. Before and, especially during are popular
Welcome and cheers, Jarrod.

Mate if you've got a Road Boss/Commander grill that hasn't got any cracks in it you are extremely lucky.
I think those mobs that can resilver headlights can chrome plastic.
I thought there was one mob in Melbourne and another in Queensland.
I can't even think of what they call the process.

Folks
WTF?
Have I mixed my Bex & Aspro?
Earlier today, on another 'puter, I saw some before/after pics and a 1978 pic with a spread trailer.
Now it's gone.
Blame Telstra?
Hooray

Yep - there were a few preview photos up but I thought the lack of commentary to go with them didn't do them justice.
I'll do a proper post with a lot of photos documenting the full restoration soon.
