Saw on internet that Permatex have a product called Rust Dissolver Gel and thought might be good to in between chassis rails and clear a lot of the rust. Nobody I have contacted knows anything about it but one bloke said he could remember it but it was banned here due to certain chemicals. It is listed on Permatex website in USA and I sent an email but no reply. Anybody know anything about this or any other product that will save me splitting chassis rails as I dont have the room or equipment to split the rails

Think they called it "Naval Jelly" in long time past. Always a certain ad in Popular Mechanics.

Plain ol' molasses gives same result .. takes a bit longer maybe, but works a treat.

Be it firearms or V8 engines, the question is not "why should you have them?"
, but "who are you to demand that I justify them?"

Check with Eddy Lucast: Eddy.Lucast@remotedata.com
He is an old truck nut and is a KBS coatings dealer here in the States and has all kinds of neat rust solving products.

Hey Brocky,
Eddy's KBS Cavity Coater would have been perfect but for some reason it is not available in Oz. Go figure.
I ended up using Penetrol for the LN's roof cavity.

Not available in Oz as no KBS dealer? Or KBS not allowed to be imported by customs??? If there is a way for Eddy to ship it I know he would..

Hey Brocky,
I did talk with Eddy at the time.
There is a KBS dealer here as I talked to him at a car swap meet in Sydney (he had plenty of their other products) but he told me Cavity coater is not to be imported into Australia. I have no idea why ?
I reckon Penetrol would work great between chassis rails.
