The number plates in photo 2 of Swishy's post (reply#55) are German, at least the one on the orange jigger is.
This plate type ran from 1956 to 1994. German plates are coded to the city of issue, and HF (the first two letters on the plate) is the code for Herford, North-Rhine-Westphalia. This just happens to be up in the north, not far from the Polish border, so you could be correct about seeing similar vehicles in Poland, Roderick.
I can't see the picture clearly enough to be certain about the other plate.

G'day all
My input
No.1 is a Scammell 'Mechanical Horse'
No.2 The Blue one on the right is a German 'Goliath'.

These 2 are both Goliath, I think the blue one has a Wartime or just after Number plate, the orange one is Herford like mentioned before. It amazes me from Time to Time just what can be found behind the "Iron Curtain"

More wonderful finds. I thought that they were all 'Kadri' until I reached the Piaggio.
I was holding on to my next China batch in the hope that the remaining mysteries would be solved, but they seem to have stumped the regulars.
Could you please explain a bit more about the spherical VR? Is a park amusement?

Doubt it, it is a pity though, just imagine how much extra Money the Government could get if there were a Million of these running around here. Think of all the Carbon Tax from a major Polluter.
On a serious Note, I would love to trundle about in some of these Contraptions.
