text enhance popups on forum

I had a problem today that many people might have. During the last few days I have been getting all sorts of ads popping up on many sites including the truck forum.

They are all "legitimate" type operations not porn or miracle financial offers. Really annoying on everything from Gumtree to corporate web sites.

When you come across a particular word it changes into a link and if you hover over it you will be confronted with an ad. For instance if you have the word LUCK it will come up with an online poker site or BARGAIN it will come up an online auction site.

Thanks to Dennis (IH Scout) I have been able to remove this. It is not considered a virus but a program which you have unwittingly downloaded on the back of a perfectly normal operation onto your computer designed to force ads onto your screen. It is called Enhanced Text and is non-damaging but really bloody annoying!

Just changed the subject line to make it (hopefully) clearer that the HCVC forum doesn't have any advertising or creates any automatic linking.

Also have moved this to the forum FAQ area as it is important information for future reference if others have similar issues.
