Looking for a spare rim

Hi. We have an old road gang van built on a truck chassis and I would like an extra rim for a spare. Can anyone recognise what truck it is, and know of a rim? We are in NE Vic. Thanks. AG.

Had to resize photos. Here they are (I hope).

A complete rear axle and wheels would be ideal if one was about.

Thanks.

An Inter 5 stud wheel will fit.Ex 160/1600/ ABCD.The wheels on it are WW2 Budds with the solid lock ring.I d check the wheel bearings for grease before towing on the road.Although ,I do know a father /son team who found a lend /lease 3ton Ford, and drove it several hundred k,s without any checks other than blowing up the tyres and adding water and oil.

I was hoping to find the correct type of rim and diff to match what we have. It seems the 8 scallop rims aren't common. Dodge, IHC, Chev, Ford, GMC, Studebaker etc from the 40s used 5 or 6 scallops, from looking at some pictures online. Does anyone know what truck they are from?

Thanks for the advice John, but the van will be getting a full rebuild before being towed behind a traction engine (ie at slow speeds!)

Thanks.

I dont know what diff, but looking closely its been plated, you can see the daggy weld on the lower piece under the diff bowl. You havent mentioned ,but I assume they are 20" tyres.

Hi John.
The Tyres are the standard 20" (8.25 x 20). There is no welding on the diff housing, they are factory gussets top and bottom.

The original front axle has been replaced with a straight, round axle, but the hubs look the same as the rear. I wonder if it was made from a similar truck to this GMC pic I found on the net. Same 8 scallop rims and same idea of protruding hubs front and back.

Chris, I will give you a call tomorrow. Thanks.
