that is a very ambitious project, not sure the mighty ACCO would participate, 3300K @ $1500 fuel, unless someone wants to ship some glider engines??? But very tempting proposition....
and Ansett at 80K or was that 80mph.... mid to late 70's they always seem to skip past.

Braggsy in the 1418, Gilly in the Dodge, & I believe at least two others are on the list to start.
The Acco will be frugal on fuel at the planned governed speed, & perhaps we could busk in the towns as we progress for fuel money. I have been looking through some old paperwork from the 70s looking for the contact I had to see if i can get a load of aeroplane glider motors that we used to cart on the odd occasion when freight was quiet, particularly out of St Peters Haulage Terminal, to help with the fuel costs.
8-10 days I have allowed for this one, probably will be immuned to the sound of the 53 by the time i get home. Dont think about it, just join us for a fun run.

Sarge, give her an oil change, fill up the fuel tank, I have magic snake oil fuel treatment, & by Forbes she will be blowin a flame from that stack .Braggsy is taking the beavertail, we can always piggyback if we have to.
Put in the leave form to the various OIC, get her ready.

12 I am led to believe

This one is sneaking up quietly. Some fine tuning over the next couple of weeks.

Gilly, Scout and I had planned to start, but like many others, we now have a health issue (mum's) to work through instead.

She put up with us playing with trucks 40 years ago.... her turn now. (it will be all good)
