Had to transport this today. It's a mobile bar for functions.

Don't think I have ever seen a mounting for a tipper cast into a hanger like this before, but I just may be forgetting.

EMNTK; what's the V8 and cast iron auto in the background of the first pic, please?

Thanks, Jarrod.

Not sure, but something tells me Cadilac. Would be very cheap should anyone want it, (scrap value as with everything else in the yard. They would be happy to see it gone.)
I'll have a closer look in the next couple of days and try to identify it.

I had a look today between showers. Memory still says Cadilac. The exhaust from the left bank travelled forward then under the engine to pick up at the bottom of the right manifold. A bit like the old Y blocks, only they went over the top of the front of the engine. I noticed that the oil filter screws into the side sump at the rear on the right hand side. This may help in identifying      the old thing.

Thanks for that. I could not find an exact match (with starter on the left), but could be a right hand drive thing, too (to clear steering box).

Cheers.

Jarrod.

I have been trying to think of all the oddballs. Early V8 Cadillacs are certainly close. I was also trying to identify the transmission. There were many of those, too.
The rocker covers I cannot quite match with anything I could find pictures of.
The casting numbers on the back of the block draw a blank. Often those will lead you to the ID. I notice it has 272 cast in big numbers, but could mean anything.

Jarrod.

Found it. It's an Oldmobile Rocket engine. That would be super rare here.
