inter 564

g,day all, just a question about the 564 inter with ad264 motor,can the main bearings & big ends be replaced by just dropping the sump off or is it a motor out job, and can anyone recomend a parts supplier , have used shiptons in Tassie without problems ,but someone closer would be handy , cheers gazza.

BW, Wagga tractor parts are the usual suspects for replacement parts
... I have a bloke at Maryborough (Vic) who wrecks these old girls if you need other bits.... (Just got an injector pump 'cause mine was not worth fixing... & find CAV no longer have heads for these either... will know if the rebuild was worth it tomorrow)

Will be interested to hear how your bottom end fix goes... I assume the aerostart bang finally got yours???

Bottom end all good .same old story ,always think the worst ,was just a dodgy gauge. No aerostart ,did a Toyota glow plug conversion a while back , works like a beauty , regards Gazza.

bolt in the timing gear let go... not enough muscle doing it up (was suprised no lock tab when I took it off)

Looks like the wrecker might have to make me an offer...
New pump and New radiator core ...

30 years of reliable tractoring.... and it had had a very hard life when I bought it.... wont get that sort of reliability/quality again. :'(
