The Acco C service manual CTSA-2300 is a very comprehensive book 2 inches thick, but it does not include any engine information.
For an Acco 1910c you will also need service manual CTSA-1300 Carburetted Engines and Fuel Systems. This book covers 6-281/6-282/V-304/V-345 and V-392.
Brett.

From a bloke I know that has done a lot of engine machining over the years and built plenty of race motors etc, he reckons none of the Inter V8s arent much good, they are designed wrong to make power
Even if do googling around on the IH web pages the IH fans will tell you a similar story
But it isnt all bad news, making power and making a motor that lasts a long time with reasonable power are two very different things, I personally think the IH V8 was good little motor for what it was
I feel the 345 was the better motor and lasted longer, but these were generally in smaller trucks so like 180 wannabe has said, didn't work quite as hard
I also wonder if by fitting Holly's closed circuit throttle bodie fuel injection a lot better economy would be achieved
What I mean by closed circuit is it measures whats coming out the exhaust and constantly changes tune to get the perfect mixture
That and a bit more compression and I think a huge improvement would be achieved, I think these motors are less than 7 - 1 compression when new, someone can correct me there

I have bought nearly all of my manuals secondhand off ebay, and a couple from clearing sales.
They don't come up all that often, i just had to be patient, then act quickly.
Not sure whether Plough Booksales might have that sort of thing from time to time?

Maurice, You had 7 separate Threads going regarding your Old ACCO..!!
I've Spliced them all together & Moved It into the Restoration Section. This will give you one constant reference point for everything pertaining to your Old Truck..
If you want to add some pics of your project Please Do..!!
As for the Belts.... Pretty sure they're all A section V belts, just take them into a Tyre Service, bearing supply Place & get them to Measure them on their Belt Measurer.
Are there any Brands Or Numbers ect Printed on the back of Them??
When you do get new Ones get a paint pen & write the Sizes on the Radiator support or Inner Guard for future Reference..

The 1981 Acco 1910C data plate says the 10 speed Roadranger gearbox is a 448. Im thinking this is an International part no.
Would anyone know what the Roadranger numbers for the 10 speed gearbox are.
Thank you,
Maurice.
