I think that is a ring-in. My 1941 Dodge weapon Carrier has the light switch in that position as did a 1954 Dodge Power Wagon I owned. I think if your truck had two speed wipers it was 10 years before its time. I suspect the wipers were operated from above the windscreen??

On the other hand the big knob around the ignition key could be a light switch. Many English cars used this system.

This is more than likely what you need Lucas number in the photo. 31270H Being an Australian assembly it has been hard trying to match North American dash features but the Lucas is a very likely Australian fitted item.
Just checked - Land Rover, Sprite, Austin, Hillman, Morgan and several others.

Yes the key goes in the middle and the black knob twists for the lights.

Here is your correct switch. Land Rover Series 1 and early Series 2

Thanks for all your help. I will try and track one down. The internet is amazing for this . I brought my 1942 wla Harley in 1990 as a basket case and put it together from magazine pics. I had finished it before I saw a real one. But these days you just google.

I see these are available so I will grab one. Not sure what I am doing with the truck yet ,but it needs an ignition switch . Gauges and switches will remain stock whatever I decide. Thanks again
