Yep that didn't take long. I guess wen I said Alaska that was a give away... pretty cool though - it was last used in the 70s and they just dropped everything and left. It's all still I'm working order and just sitting there for anyone to climb about in and explore. There's an old bloke in town who claims with a couple of blokes he'd have it operational in a day. They move it with four dozers (one pictured earlier). It was brought in in pieces on dog sleds in the 20s

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,
Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

Yep, the dredge looks good.
Almost as good as the one at El Dorado in Victoria. Made, I am told, from Ex WW11 Army surplus vehicle parts.

Eldorado dredge was built in 1936.
I know someone who would kill for that straight aluminium K100 bumper, Paul posted

There is another complete dredge and drag line sitting in the now drained swamp just out of Maldon on the Bendigo road. Was still working when I moved here 30 years ago. Should look up a photo. And while on the topic, wife's grandfather used to build dredges around Buckland valley and the Son went on tin dredge mining in Indonesia. War got in the way. Often wondered if the son had a part in Eldorado dredge.

A few from Israel. The KW is still at work (pic by Itay Mekaiten), The Freightliner is probably no longer among the living or is in Palestine or some other Arab country. It was an "overload special" order for Israel with rock hard spring suspension - those were known have GVWs which would have put you in jail in the US or Oz but that was Israel in the late 80s, lol.
