Hi,

And if you get it wrong in SA, as in fail to obey a lane marking, $390 ouch.
(I stayed in my left most lane and exited at the next off.)

And the main circle goes the opposite direction to every other roundabout in UK.

Having driven through this maze several times it grieves me to say that it does actually work and as long as you follow the arrows and keep an eye on the place you want to get off it is quite intuitive. The regular locals just zoom through in lighter traffic periods. Pretty weird having two lots of circling traffic going in opposite directions! The small circles are really like Silent Cops and you just turn on them rather than do a sweeping circle.

I did it once with a Yank driving and as they are completely thrown by normal roundabouts (although they are quickly being built all over USA) he just about lost the plot as we charged in with fairly heavy traffic.

We've got a similar one in the town centre of Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, UK, which has no less than six mini roundabouts surrounding the main central one. The name 'Magic Roundabout' comes from a children's TV programme.
