No hard hats either. Boy we all need to get a life and not be concerned about this OHS stuff! :woohoo:
I’ll second that motion. Whatever happened to commonsense? Thanks to the Swishman for his current OH&S rule book.

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,
Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

Yes Swish, I’ve saved that one, and printed it out, and put in on the safety issues noticed board when I started at 4am, but when I got back in at 6:30 pm it was gone. Some people have no sense of humour, or maybe too close to the bone.

John K, I always wear casual slip ons in the cab, for comfort, got out on a job site, safety officer approached and asked if they were safety boots, I said of course, do you think I’m stupid. He walked away shaking his head. I guess he agreed that I must be stupid. Probably correct.

Swishy, that’s my working footwear also, I’m surprised at the small amount of times I get chipped. Many decades ago when I drove for Spornes Transport, who had immaculate green B model Macks, we had to wear moccasins in the cab, so as not to scratch the floor mats, and carried a little tin of silvafros and brush, to paint the wheel nuts after we had changed a flat out on the road.
