Dodge D5N identification numbers

Hello,
I'm looking for information on decoding a D5N identification number.
Truck in question is a 1975 700 series, number as follows:
D5N 76DOA/FF25-0140
The D5N is easy enough, the 7 is no doubt 700 series, but the 6DOA is a bit of a mystery.
Can anyone shed some light?
Ian

D5N 76DOA/FF25 - 0140.

7 - 7 series
6 - 160" W/B (7 - 175" etc)
D - diesel
O - spare field with single drive but 'T' with tandem drive.
A - either A for single cab build or A for Australian build. Can't remember which.
FF25 - Build Date 25 June 1975
0140 - model build number

Soops trust this helps.

Thanks John, that's very helpful, much appreciated.
That makes sense, l've seen numbers such as 74DTA......
Looks like it was originally single drive and the tandem has been installed later in the trucks life.
Do you know which axle the wheel base measured from with a tandem?

Ian,
WB to centre line of tandem.
Standard w/b's for tandems were 3710mm (146") and 4675mm (184").
John.
