What is this on the Hume

Saw on another site and provoked my curiosity.

Thought of the West Aus "Dalek" when you mentioned white box but it is not one of those.

Maybe a traffic counter of some sort.

Crash, me thinks the Duck is right, there was/is one near Marong on the Calder, apparently it registers things like vehicle, type, size, weight, speed, etc. Used for road making intelligence if that is the case.... BIDSTBC.... :silly:
