I drove at Amaroo and Oran Park. Missed out on Warwick Farm as it closed just before I started racing.
I met some cool Gentlemen whilst doing it.

Peter Brock is top of the list (whom I met with many times after) and it winds it's way down, or up, to Deny Hulme, Stirling Moss and quite a few F1 World Champions.

I was one lucky young man back then.

I knew the Hamberly brothers that lived in Homebush near my Granny. The scrambled a fuel injected HRD Vincent sidecar outfit. Saw them race at Moorebank and Catalina and up and down the street at Homebush doing 'test runs'.
Last I heard of Wally he had retire from the Forrestry Commission up around Macleay area and is where his Mum lived until her passing.

Here's a vid of the old Empire Speedway Penrith from 1938 showing a car crashing into spectators causing fatalities.

Love the built in 'sway packs' on some of those old cars and certainly was a womens driving course a well.
