Hi,
while visiting a friend today in Gippsland he took us around to a local friends place to see his truck he is working on. It is a twin can AB130 with 3cyl 2 Stroke Detroit engine. Is this a factory option or a common swap?
Terry

I would suspect neither a factory set up or a common set up
A 3-53 is pretty tiny on power, a 6 cylinder Perkins none turbo would probably have more power for less weight and noise and be cheaper to run

According to my sheet ..its 101hp and 965lb ......so less power than a Perk at 120 ,and lighter by about 200lb..........Funny thing about GMs is 20 years ago they were being scrapped wholesale ,now all these guys following social media want to make the big noise with jake brakes ............jakes for 53s are very costly now.
