Hi I am chasing a Eaton 2 speed diff splitter for an inter acco. It has a rockwell diff.

The part number on the housing is 38041.

Hello MickM
Welcome to the forum. I know nothing about these splitters but I assume it is the motor you need. I have heard that some types are almost impossible to find but yours might be easier. I am sure lots of Inter people on there will offer suggestions or knowledge.

Morris.

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,

Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

If you put up "two speed axle" on Ebay you will find hundreds of items related to two speed axles. Much is from UK and USA but apart from some Americans wanting outrageous post costs most things are still reasonable landed here. Experience shows they arrive not much longer than Australia Post efforts.

Truck Line is also worth a call and I am sure there are others like the Inter parts blokes in Toowoomba.

I think maybe 38041 is the part number/casting number for the motor only. Do you need only a motor, or the whole actuator?

Try typing "Eaton 38041" into Google. The first option listed should be a complete new unit for sale on ebay (USA). Worth looking at the photos in that ebay listing anyhow, even if you don't buy it.

If the diff is a two speed double reduction Rockwell, then the change mech is quite different to an Eaton 2 speed ........I suspect the electric motor is the same ,but the rest is quite different ,and nothing more interchangeable.

Hi Brett the number 38041 is representative of the body not the electric motor. I have since purchased that unit from the states and hopefully I can interchange my 12 volt motor for the 24 volt motor it’s coming with.

Ah yes, i have just had a better look at the photos, and it is clear to me now the motor fits inside of the 38041 body. Sorry about that, i must have got the side and end photos mixed up in my haste earlier.

Hope it works out for you.

Brett.
