I have a Ford "K" series with a 330Ci diesel engine and a 4 speed gearbox. Would a 6 speed gearbox from a "D" series with a 380Ci engine fit? Is the gearbox bolt pattern the same on the 330ci/380ci?

I have a Workshop Manual For your truck, I'll dig It out over the Weekend & have look for you.

Dont be detered from trying - BUT - the D Series has the motor laying half on its side compared with the K Series where (I think) it is standing vertical. S0 the D Series 6 & 8 Speed Trans are connected to the bell housing to get them standing level.

So both options - either a motor and trans or just a box change arent going to be straight forward no matter how you go. An early D Series (similar vintage to the K Series) 5 speed box might be a better (but still messy) option.

I'm aware that the D series motor is laid over. I was hoping to use my bellhousing to attach to a D series gearbox.
