Here's a couple more shots Decco, taken at KW St Peters about 1975-6. Looks to be the same one?

Very interesting Detective, the conversion looks to be a very professional job. Obviously Cummins powered, looks like it still has the NR Mack axles. In N.Z. there was an ex W.W.II Federal 604 that was converted to COE with a TK Bedford cab, it was repowered with a Detroit 8V53 motor. Durham's Transport in Christchurch had a Federal 604 ex Tom Gilroy that had the Cummins HB600 replaced with a Detroit 6.71. Durhams replaced the original cab with an LAD Leyland Comet short door cab. It was still a bonnetted truck though and the Leyland cab didn't do a lot for its looks.-Hamish Petrie

Hi did a lot of work on the old Mackworth in my younger years, as i can remember one of the mechanics from St Peters went and drove it for a while and he loved it ,his nickname was jc John Coleman ,it was a work of art that truck and they would go anywhere in it
