Swishy, you're closer to the tower of power than I am so I will stand corrected but at the moment I am thinking of having an eskie on the back of the truck as I wll be there before the dinner starts and may get thirsty

As the dinner venue is licenced I don't intend to take any drinks inside the pavilion where the dinner is being held - I figure any argument or bad blood isn't worth the small saving. What I do after the dinner will depend how I feel and the weather at the time.

I may need to find somewhere dry to put the swag. Under my tray is no good - the water comes down between the boards

Just throw your swag under the awning where the dinner was last year, plenty of room to move.

I better get there early so I don't have to park with the Bedfords again.

...not too long ago a bunch of overnight truck drivers would have a gutter party in the morning out front of their depot. Seeing that the big bangers can't park under a shady tree at Yarra Glen, that may be the only recourse to something resembling a good time on the day....

i may need to do a test fit :).
i can fit with swag in the back of the XP ute with the tailgate down or the BA Ute with the tailgate up. I tried napping across the bench seat of the XP and had to leave both doors open so that was the first time I tried the tray (without swag). I could always bring a tarp and set up the swag on the tray. The first step down in the morning might be a bit dramatic though :)

Helen is going to a school reunion in Camperdown (Vic) on Saturday night and catching up with old friends Sunday so won't be at the show at all so I only need to worry about me
