Another Nothing New Under the Sun

I live in Victoria but that does not mean I am a Victorian.
I worry about those followers of the state religion (Victorian Rules Football) which was started as something for cricketers to do in winter, who follow the team Essendon but call it Esserdon. Possibly people who live in that suburb do so as well but I do not know any of them.

Most of the radio and television commentators I have heard call Bathurst, "Bath-ist."
