Hi Guys,
You can stop worrying about the steering bump. We had a win today, retightened the shock absorbers, spring washes and nylock nuts all-round on all linkages and front u bolts, straightened the drag link, bingo, it now drives 97% better. One end of the drag link is a bit suss so I will replace the whole thing. The bump was caused by a number of factors and working through each one as well as all your suggestions we were able to fix the problem to a degree ,it now gets up to 30 mph. All is now well, thankyou very much for your input and advice , much appreciated. By the way,2 steering and suspension shops in our town could not fix the problem after having it for 2 days each!
Kind regards
Rusty

A bit about the wedges between the axle and springs, thick end to the rear tilts the king pins forward at lower end and helps wandering, too much tilt and if you hit a bump creates wheel wobble. Caster changes as springs flatten over time.
A bit of trial and error on a quiet road can get better steering. Trial wedges can be made with 1.6 mil flat folded double on one third. No responsibility accepted!

I did read some where may have been on this forum that the castor angle on Dodge D5N and AT4 was either to to little or to much from the factory to help with steering when travelling slow and thats why they are like a yacht ( You tack from side to side all day long )to drive down the road at speed

I wonder if you added power steering and fixed the castor angle would they then drive better
