Far be it for me to put a negative on a piccy.
However given the task these guys and girls have on their hands in Victoria at the moment maybe we should save this lot for Winter.
We and our Governments could never imagine to what extent the damage from, Bushfire's would be if it wasn't for the volunteers that go out to protect other peoples property.
I live in the Blue Mountains, well yes I am a little bit prejudice.
Anyway can you imagine the look on the Train drivers face when it was too late to stop ?

...and there's not (pardon the pun) an icebergs chance in hell that the Victorian Metropolitan Fire Brigade (MFB) could interfere with their counterparts, the Country Fire Authority (CFA) when it comes to the fires Rex is talking about....at least these are the rules in Victoria.....

....Maybe the line was closed in that pic, but otherwise the whole set-up looks foolish to say the least....

the last big fire we had sum time ago Dept of Sustainable energy n Country Fire Authority ( plus a few more) argued over hoos fire it twaz

I say bring out the army ... get m in early
U say: they aint trained to fight fires
I say: give every trained fire fighter a army assistant
even if the assistant only mops the fire fights brow or goes get a drink of water for him
Least they could do ...... but sure they could help in a way to fight fires
