Obviously a bit too easy.
Interesting history though.
The story, as I understand it... Leyland Motor Corp decided to build trucks in Canada ca.1954, and came up with the delightfully-titled Leyland Beaver (little-knowing that in North America one only uses the word in certain company, and even then with caution!) They arranged with Canadian Car & Foundry to build the trucks, I believe in Brantford, Ontario. CanCar, as it was called, built buses, rail cars, highway trailers and aviation components. They used the Comfo-Vision cab, used by International, Diamond T and others, and a very distinct-sounding Leyland diesel engine. By 1956 they had sensibly renamed the truck Canada Diesel, and came up with a more simplified front grille."

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,
Now I find I can't do any work in this position!
Caledon?
If so, only the second survivor known world wide!
Morris.
