German buses was created by Roderick Smith
Offlist, I was offered free a well-prepared collection of about 300 photos of trams in Germany. The collection includes some buses. Preparing the collection was a labour of love: each print is mounted on a backing card. Caption information (except for the name of the photographer) is typed on the back. Scanning them all will be a long-term gesture. Here is just one of the bus photos.

Here is a second. I am not a bus specialist, but I know a lot of people who are, and there are many here at HCVC. MAN has a strong following in Australia. AFAIK mainly urban. Mercedes has a strong following. AFAIK mainly touring/charter. There are many models. I queried Magirus. There was at least one at Wollongong in the 1960s, hinting that there were more.

Here is the third. I am trying to work at two per week, interleaved with other HCBC themes, in turn interleaved with other hobbies.

This concludes the Mainz coverage. The next several cities in the collection are tram only.
