It might get a proper resto one day, but I would have to stop driving it first. ;)

Gday 600..
i'm not easily frightened by panel work..
But I have a rule..the drama will be double what you can see..

In my opinion, its too far gone to be truly practical..
If it was one of a half dozen left on the planet, different story..
That one......I would send her out to pasture....

Plenty of cabs around if its mechanically sound..

The old girl is really good apart from the cab, even the rest of the panels are in excellent shape, Ive still been using it but I feel like I need to do something soonish before the cab falls off or the roof parts company. How hard is a cab swap and how hard is it to find a decent cab with the bostrom seat bases?

I think there will be still a reasonable supply of cabs.
I'm not right up on all the Dodge D5N? models, but I would assume if not available, the bases could be re made or swapped over.

Providing you have some reasonable lifting gear and lucky enough to find a donor with the same or similar running gear as yours...
It will come together over a few good days.

Hope it all goes well

Death by condensation......

I've got one that's really good in the roof, but the dash/plenum is practically gone.

Not looking forward to that one.

that looks pretty rusty 600

I don't know much about cab swaps but it would look easier to me and a good chance to prepare and protect your new cab from future rust. I did have a look at a D5nN 200 with a NOS cab, doesn't get much nicer

is this the truck you got from out Mingenew way or is that the one in the background???

This one came from Serpentine I think, the Mingenew one is the bogey in the background which by the way has been re cabbed with a D5n 200 cab when it lived in Victoria and is in far better condition rust wise.

I thought the Mingenew one was pretty good rust wise

my red one hardtopman has informed me is a inter cab which is in pretty good shape which has bostrom seats fitted

they don't seem to last long out in weather and serpentine is pretty wet
