If they're new, they should have the max. pressure written on them. I thought it was about 60 PSI for 7.50x16. I run around the 40 - 45 in the ASW (cross plies)

Always run around 38 - 40 in modern cars. Steel radials usually separate due to old age (even if they look new)
I can't say if truck tyres are better in this regard.

I found this guide to triangle tyres , there a Chinese tyre but one of the better ones and quiet common these days. Gives there recommend tyre pressures and ply ratings for tyre sizes, might be hady as a guide.



670Kpa = 97Psi.

I notice the 7.50's are 12 and 14 ply. Surely you can still buy them in 6, or 8 ply?

(can't seem to get cross plies under 12, I did find out....)
