Inter AR 110 was created by bigcam
This is the gem I bought out at the auction at St George. I was going to get it mechanically all right put it on club rego then drive it around a bit to see if I like it and wether to go any further. It looks pretty good with the weathered look anyway. First job is the brakes, I pulled them apart today and took all the bits to the brake jiont. It had one broken rubber hose on the front and every thing looks pretty average. I had to make a puller to get the back drums off. (You can stop laughing Stu). All the rubber bits are buggered. Does anyone know if the rubber spring and shackle bushes are available from somewhere? That's next on the list. Surprisingly the king pins were spot on.

Don't just take the slack out of king pins by packing some ball bearings under the grease nipple :D

Nice find there. I got my kingpins & suspansion parts for my AR130 from Wagga Trucks. They had most of them listed on ebay at the time.

Seriously guys, the kingpins are sweet. LOL.
Did any of you notice the A frame pionts on the roo bar?
Truck was origonaly bought new in 1954 by the Balonne Shire Council (St George) for the power station.
It might have spent some time with the grader driver or similar.

The shackle rubbers and bump stop rubbers are cactus. And all the cab rubbers as well.

Nice Inter you have there bigcam. Love the patina. Maybe just give it a polish to preserve the cab and enjoy the drive ;)

Good puller Cam. I made one out of a ford rim. I bought my shackle rubbers from scott auto rubber. Cab mount rubbers from Restoration specialties in the USA. And as Intermania wrote, Wagga Tractor & truck.
Brake drums seem to be a prob finding. I have a good set on mine, but being part of the hub, once worn out, that may be the end of them. My local brake bloke got me a set of bonded shoes & new lines.
I still have the part numbers in a file for some bits if you need them. Dave

Thanks Dave, I reckon it may have been in a bit of sandy country, the drums didn't look to flash to me. I said to the brake bloke unless he knows where to find some to clean them up, so we'll see in the next couple of days.

Did you get a rubber kit for your cabin?

I'm chasing some hubcaps too, I suppose like every other Inter owner, do they make repro's like they do withthe K series?
