Looking for inspiration! was created by Dave_64
Hi All,
recently had a cleanout of the shed, most projects have been moved on. May be looking for something along the lines of Dodge D5N 200--Inter C1300--Ford up to 250/350. Just wondered what you blokes think of a suitable project. Last 3 projects have had serious rust problems way beyond my ability welding-wise, Ford F350, Dodge 200, Jeep DJ5.
I know we are getting back a few years, so may have to move forward a few years, may even look at something cab over in Jap or European, but major requirement would be has to be relatively rust free, may even look at someone else's project that they have lost interest in, something 1 to 2 tonne region. Engine and/or transmission shot or even missing may not worry too much as I have something in mind, sitting here in the shed. Maybe something small, would even consider dual wheel.
Don't want to spend a Kings Ransom, but also understand you have to pay for what you get. Have been keeping an eye on the For Sale columns on this forum, most of what I thought would be worth looking at are either finished projects or full of rust and/or rot. Have to keep it on the small side if possible because of space available. Would love to do an old Pete, B model or R190 up, but totally impractical. Just as an idea, have seen some neat Inter and Dodges around with step side tubs, look quite tidy. Not ready to buy just yet, but genuine query, looking for clues, don't have any idea of what I'm willing to go to, price wise, as yet. Central Victoria area, so can get around the state if something should come up worth looking at.
Thanks, Dave_64

This wouldn't be a bad buy for $1600 if it's still available.
Bedford 1961 truck with 88,928 miles on speedo. Not running. Turns over but has no spark. Perfect resto project. Would not take much to restore her to her former glory. Has no rust (only surface rust on bottom of inside of doors). Everything is there for this truck. Even have old rego papers from Vicroads showing full registration details. Truck is located inToolleen (central Victoria)

Ta, Swishy ! I can just see meself tooling down the South-Eastern heading to the Warragul truck show or something similar, wouldn't want to park it anywhere where there's DOGS around, they'd christen it for sure!

Thanks, Guys.
Sent an enquiry to both so will see if it's worth a trip.
Swishy, some cool gear there! Now if I can just win a few quid in tatts!

Just out of curiosity, know little about Bedsteads, I had an idea they ran a pommy version of either a Chevvy 240 or 300, or am I confusing them with the diesel version? Neither ad gives engine capacity.
