Sarge ....type in WestonLangford.com if you like historic photos of trains and general old transport stuff ..... an amazing site that takes weeks to go through

and another pic of a prototype RD800 which was tested by the IDF in 1982 with a view to replacing the DM800 but not accepted for service, the contract having been awarded to Austrian ÖAF (MAN) in the end. The funny bit is the DM800 was never really fully phased out until this year, which must be a world record for the longest serving tank transporter (42 years?).
PS: Yes those are Berliet axles...
