Interesting comments in that pamphlet covering the early Inter models. Noted that several had the "fuel saving overdrive 5th gear" transmissions and one even had that rare transmission with the two reverses in the main box!

I bet when they got the truck in the top photo they thought to them selves life doesnt get any better than this man this is huge and sooooo fast and no doubt thought how great it all was
Then they got the newer inter and would have been thinking that things cant get much more modern than this
We really have no idea how much stuff changes I remember when I was in my early 20's my great grandmother died and I got to thinking when she was my age cars werent invented telephones neither no aeroplanes I wonder what she would think today with computers skype and texts internet mobile phones none of which was around when she passed
Sometimes it pays us to stop and think how lucky we really are

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,
Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

Yes Paul,
Progress is something that is better than the old one.
Some twenty-odd years ago, Police in Echuca in Victoria tried to stop a ninety-year-old well-loved resident, who drove everywhere at 20 miles per hour, and looked neither left nor right, from driving by declaring his 1929 Morris Commercial truck, which was held to together with fencing wire and hope, unsafe to drive. They did not have the heart to take his Driver's Licence off him as he lived a few miles out of town.
He outsmarted them by buying a 1952 Morris Commercial LC3. His wife told a friend "The new truck (it was over 40 years old) is lovely, it has wind-up windows and everything". After a short time his licence had to be taken away.
Morris.

Interesting the wording on the top Inter's trailer.
It says Live Stock Transport. Not Livestock.
Are they telling us they don't transport dead animals, only live ones?
