Fill's Bedford was created by Fill
First, I have been a member for about 18 months now. My daughter is going to help me get onto the Forum.
Here are a few pictures of my resto witch I thought would be on club reg by now. Things are taking a lot longer than I first thought.
I was after a bit of help. I had trouble getting the lock nuts off the back hubs. First attempt was with a cold chisel (failed) - I probably wasn't brutal enough (but thanks to Dave anyway).
Second attempt was with a pipe on the home made spanner (failed).
Third attempt went well. I welded a nut on and used a rattle gun (total time: 8 hours...)
What I would like is the right socket which is a double ended with 6 pins sticking out. I can buy one from overseas for about 70 pounds but I thought one of my Bedford friends might have one to borrow or buy.
Thank you in advance for having a look in your sheds.

Having trouble putting photos up, will keep trying
Would love to here from anyone who can tell me how to attach a photo
Thanks
Fill

Hi Filll
You're off to a good start with the photos. When you have a photo displayed in Flickr that you want to put on the forum all you have to do is look for a button on the bottom right of the picture which looks like an arrow sweeping up and to the right. This is the "share" button. When you click on it it comes up with a little box with the URL. Before you copy it though you need to select the "BBcode" option. Then copy the URL (bottom rectangle) and paste it into your post. It will paste about 3 lines of gibberish in your post and this is what will be displayed when you click on the post button

Your pics on the bottom link are great, shows what you had and what you're doing with it. Looks like a really solid cab!

Thanks for sharing.

Jarrod.

Thanks for the interest and help with my photos.
I was amazed that there were over 200 views in 24 hours- if someone had a spanner they would have replied.
I thought I would post a couple of photos of what I am currently working on just in case anyone is interested

Hello Swamprat thanks for the interest and your time.
The socket is double ended. Not sure why but the nuts inner and outer are different diameters. Hard to explain, slots in the bigger nut are longer, so am thinking one end is for a different model truck ?
Small nut size OA 75 mm
Big nut size OA 80 mm one socket, one end should do both nuts?
Also my wife is taking the manual to work to scan, so if I can I will put a picture up tonight
