Thanks Swishy. The Brute was never imported to Israel on a regular basis - why a US contractor had them is also a mystery. If you wanted something like this there was the option of getting the "regular" C500/510 from the dealers but in general the T800H was rugged enough for most situations. I also have a feeling the bogey is off a Mack (happened a bit over there, particularly with the early K100s which had a low rating rear axles) but I'm not certain...

I drove something like that in Queensland many years ago the model was DSX811 had 250 c motor quad box heavy arse end on 24 inch rims (grader tryes) triple chassis rails and the best part air over hyd brakes they had 20 cubic metre dump bodies they were owned by Alex Tenkate in bris in the early '80s we worked them on the gateway arterial construction doing the cutting at Mt Petrie near the rifle range also drove an old R22 Euclid that had the 220 cummins removed ond a 400 big cam in it's place but that's another story Regards Peter

Another weird one, Mack's response to the Brute, the DMM...

g'day Swishy and all .. these are very interesting pics of the cabovers as they all have a cut-out in the corner of the cab for the exhaust....pretty rare to see on the Kenworths....
....there is one of these 3/4 cabovers with the cut-out down the back streets of Sunshine North....Canadian built with single headlights, and very possibly RHD from new ??......cheers
