I am driving a Japper lately that gets off smartly ( unless uphill ) . Can understand them reducing the length of a cycle to suit traffic conditions but surely the amber time has to remain consistent. Maybe just fine tuning the lights to bring in a few more $

I'd rather have tools that I don't need, than not have the tools I do need.

Unfortunately our roads around Melbourne are 10 years behind the times, and these 'smart people' keep coming up with brilliant ideas how to get the traffic moving!

84 Austral Tourmaster with 6V92 and now 7 speed Eaton-Fuller, converted to motorhome "Vanishing Point" after a favourite American movie.
3 Kw solar 800 Ah Lithium house battery pack, all engine cooling done by the sun. Water injection for hot days and hill climbs.
Yep we got a few of those smarties up here too !
Build a new suburb just north of the Pine River with the population of Tassie
Whats that, traffic gridlocked ? Easy, squeeze another lane on the gateway, move the problem a bit further away.
Oops, big overpass to get on the Bruce, can't hang another lane off that, what to do ?
Build a train line and they won't use their cars (they will you know)
Oh shite, we need need someone to drive the new trains, forgot about that.
Anyway the new trains we have ordered from India for half the local price are easier to drive, less training required.
Whats that you say ? Nothing works properly on the new ones, especially a few Queensland essentials like aircon and toilets (for when the train stops, frequent occurence when driver needs a meal break)
Ok supend the Indian contract and we will get the local guys in Maryborough to fix the snafus
Whats that you say ? They don't want to have anything to do with it ? Shite what do we do now ?
I know, distract them ejits with a bullshit story about equal numbers of WALK and DON"T WALK signs being feminine and masculine.
What, it's not a bullshit story? God help all of us............

They've wasted money in Vic with the start of the female pedestrian silhouettes. What a waste, could've been spent on some spray n pave down on a gravel road that needs it?

Seems pollies everywhere are so disconnected that they have no idea how pissed off we are about this sort of shite. Come the revolution !
Seriously there is such a disconnect between the connected (in crowd) and the rest of us silly buggers (out crowd)
We need a benevolent dictator for a while, as democracy has forgotten the golden rule FOR THE MAJORITY.
I nominate Swishy.
