It's the same

Yellow Left
Green Right
Brown Tail/Marker/Clearance
Red Stop
White Earth

Make sure you have a good earth at each light from the loom, as body/chassis earths do not always work well or for long

Depends if U lookn in the front of pin or the rear
Depending where U R viewing or wire n it up
the top 7 pin plug is viewd into socket/base or the rear end of the 7 pin
the next pic of 7 pin is viewd lookin in the front of 7pin or or the rear of the socket base
Normally Earth @ say 5O'Clock is numbered 31
with the latest V: of these doodadds eye find it easier to mark the earth pin where the wire goes in
with typing error white out................ coz U can certainly get bamboozled
eg: Stop (Red) @11 O'Clock
Earth (White) @ 5 O'Clock

Yeah, puts me in mind of some of the early Jeep wiring, you can have any colour as long as it's banded! Was told it was originally intended for ease of field maintenance, seemed to be accepted that drivers were as rough-as-guts and simply issued with a multi-purpose folding knife and told to simply cut out the offending short. Won't claim to the veracity of it!

here is the wiring at the moment, there was a set of old lights that had rust on the connections & the plastic covers were cracked/

i will put some pictures up to show the progress , i found these tail lights for sale at the local markets new old stock toyota , they mounted from the top..

i found this point as an earth or ground point , i suppose i could have earthed it closer to the lights but i thought this will do , a bit hard to see but that bolt below my finger , there is a nut to go on.

just got this clip for a sure fit.

once i got the earth wire hooked up i just tested with one of those little pointer with a globe thingies to work out brake lights , blinkers etc , one problem i did run into was blown globes , i accidently blew the fuse for the parking lights ,this caused all the globes to work out of sync (blinkers at tail lights /reverse light at stop lights etc .i realised i needed all the globes to be working for everything to work properly...// as swishy post above shows all the correct lights ie: yellow wire goes to left blinker / green wire to right blinker etc ..these wires were all over the place ...ive got all the lights working correctly now except the reverse ....does anyone know with 1975 d5n dodge that there was no clear reverse & that the blinkers work together as the reverse ? thats what happens when i put it in reverse ....
