Geoffb..............Look twice.......the guts must have been removed judging by the welds on the ends of the pong boxes ..They then can't say no mufflers

spent some more time today tackleing a job that has been bothering me, THE HANDBRAKE....
we started off just making some brackets and it all developted from there. it isnt finished yet and there are some mods to be made but i think it will work
this rod is going to be replaced with a single piece one as it flexs with 2
also the small bracket behind the rod needs fixing to the gearbox plate yet

Hi Mate, looks like you have put a lot of thought into that. Just wondering if you could weld some locating blocks to the back side of the plate to pick up something else on the gearbox, maybe the range change cylinder? Might help those locating bolts back to the gearbox, they only look like about 3/8", and the locating lugs would take the force not the bolts.

Thanks big cam there is 2 x 1/2 bolts and spacers still to go behind the plate set up. Just have to work out where to put the holes in the plate. They screw into the back off the box

The 1/2" ones should help, from memory the factory ones had 5/8" studs, about 4 of them. That is from memory though.

Check the floor pan to see if the hand brake still fits looks a little to far to the drivers side, I think there is about 100 mill between the gear stik and hand brake hole, looking good though
