You blokes have it all wrong and had me worried so I went back and measured again.... It is sitting the same width across as the old one (give or take 5mm) it is about 40mm forward more then the old one because of the shift valve but we will overcome this problem with adjustment and maybe a slight bend in the lever or make the hole a little bigger

I thought u might be interested gilly its not that hard to make. I just raided my mates scrap metal bin and got the grinder and welder out and bobs your uncle.... Hopefully

Yeah Trevor slowly getting there, work is busy at the moment that is slowing me up a lot. The mudgee rally seems like its not going to happen for me. I'm now thinking that the Sydney show in June might be its first show. Will finish the hand brake on Sunday and the glass goes in Monday that will be a few more ticks off the list

Dont let anyone push you to have it finished by a certain date, and only take it out when you are 100% happy with the finished job. I could have taken the 27 out 1/2 finished to a few events but glad i decided to debut it at Sandown.
Fully understand the work issue, just remember if you dont do the work you wont have the money to play with to finish the truck, so work must come first.
