There was a wheel manufacturer in North Melbourne or Kensington, NOT Mullens wheels.
Star or Ajax wheels comes to mind.
They would build almost anything for you.
Perhaps a major wheel manufacturer could build you a custom offset.
By the amount that it is touching by, try a different brand of wheel, they are not all identical, despite the specification..
Hope some of that helps
regards

Thanks chocs I've tryed most of the wheel makers and retailers and they said that no one makes 7.5 inch wide ones anymore I think I will keep trying with these wheels they will just take a bit of work. They won't need much clearance the one from Forbes only has about 4 cigarette papers he reckons. I will mount the hubs up correctly with the new bearings and brakes tomorrow I might be able to space it out with a 2mm packet behind the new bearing

Arn't the tube type 7.50" rims? I was pretty sure all my tube type are either 7.50 X 20 and I've got a few 8.00 X 20's. The 8" ones definatly won't fit on the front of the dodge. I'd have 7.50 X 22.5 tubeless would have been OK. What do the Inters come with standard, 7" rims" ?

I will measure them tomorrow. I think the mounting flange on these new ones isn't as thick as the old tube type

Could well be. I know the old Gunite hubs on the old KW's seemed to be more prone to cracking/breaking on the steer if they had tubeless rims and someone told me they aren't as ridgid as the tube type rims, which is why you see a lot of them with the chunky Malco replacement hubs.

G'day Cam
I have noticed on a few occasions where on a front hub, of different makes and models that the mounting flange on the wheel is only sitting on a small portion of the spider mounting flange.
Had an occasion just recently and tried several new rims, with variable results.
Got it sorted in the finish with a 'known brand' rim.

i will try a couple of rims in the morning for you.
The rim i have in mind is one with a more obvious mounting flange. Like its spot welded to the rim.
When fitted to the outside of a dual set, they are buggers for water and dirt to sit it..
A 'normal' rim lets the water etc fall off...
hope that makes a degree of sense.

while the front wheel problem sits in the to hard basket ive moved on to a few other things.
hopefully by the end of the week the stainless mudgaurds will be fitted along with the shiney dome axle covers and chrome wheel nut covers. i will leave the spacers painted they look ok . not real sure on what poles to use on the gaurds is is best to use offsets or straight ones? most ive seen have the off set ones fitted, there is not much room to mount them with the leaf springs in the road.
