...c'mon fellas .. where they all hiding and what's layin' around ready for a decent resto job
...I nearly jumped out of my skin today when I found an old split windscreen banger, but alas....she was a bloody slant engine petrol! ...anyway, i've always loved 'em from when i was a young tacker, and one of these old girls would always be on my bucket list.....cheers, and over to the forum crew....

That green one has a bit of everything.
From the grille it should be a 2-piece windscreen, it's got the very latest air cleaners as well as a 10-stud front axle.
Wonder where the battery box went to.
I'd forgotten about those door handles, note the drooping left one.
I had some modification to fix them, can't remember back that far now though.

Not a 58 Commer that's for sure.
I don't mind anyone keeping a vehicle running by upgrading components, but I draw the line at misleading advertising when it's time to sell.
She's a late model chassis with an old cab, didn't think it was possible but there you go.
Airpack brakes were introduced on the first "new" look cab CAD?? someone will correct the model for me.
The old cab treadle valve air-equipped Commers had air/hydraulic master cylinder on the right chassis rail.
No air, no brakes.
She's got a late model engine and the 6-speed box, 10-stud wheels all round so the only 1958 bit would be the cab.
